APRIL 2025: Acubed IT at NCSC's CYBERUK 2025!
We had an incredible time representing Acubed IT at CYBERUK 2025, the UK’s leading cybersecurity event hosted by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It was a pleasure to be at Stand C2, connecting with public sector leaders, industry experts, and partners to discuss some of today’s most pressing cyber challenges — from data aggregation risks to AI-driven threats and the need for quantum resilience.

From 7–8th May, our team actively participated in a range of insightful sessions — including Technical Masterclass: Trends in Cyber Threats – Evolving Attacker Behaviours, Can Passwords Become Extinct? Passkeys in Theory and Practice, and Cyber Essentials…Getting the Basics Right. These sessions gave us a front-row view into how the threat landscape is shifting and reinforced the need for smarter, more resilient defences.

Our Implementation Consultants, Wesley Rowland, and Gaurav Joshi made the most of the event by attending multiple breakout sessions and engaging in conversations with a wide range of cybersecurity professionals.

Meanwhile, earlier on the second day, our Technical Consultant Shafqat Bashar and Business Analyst Kelly Springell, attended the Women in Cyber networking breakfast — an open and inclusive session that brought together women and non-binary cyber professionals to share success stories, discuss challenges, and explore how to build a more diverse and supportive industry.
We were also proud to sponsor the CyNam Fringe Evening, hosted by the UK Tech Cluster Group and UKC3. It was a brilliant evening of meaningful conversations, networking, and collaboration. Our Business Development Lead, Stephen Thomas, spoke about how Acubed IT is helping organisations stay secure through cross domain innovation and post-quantum cryptography.

One of the most meaningful moments of the week came from a very different kind of mission — the Fastnet Campaign by Tall Ships Youth Trust. This incredible programme helps young people develop leadership and teamwork through offshore sailing. Our CEO, Amit Gupta, proudly supported the campaign’s “war on plastic” by donating 16 stainless steel water bottles to the crew of Challenger 3. We're honoured to support an initiative that aligns with our values of resilience, sustainability, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
If you didn’t catch us at CYBERUK 2025 but want to talk about quantum security, cross domain innovation, or meaningful partnerships — we’d love to hear from you.
